-Women ages 18 to 24 and 25 to 34 generally experience the highest rates of intimate partner violence.
-1 in 4 women (24.3%) aged 18 and older in the US have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
-Intimate partner violence alone affects more than 12 million people every year.
-In the US, almost three women are killed by an intimate partner every day
Grace Haven Retreat Solution
We are committed to combatting domestic violence toward women by offering a comprehensive solution that empowers and supports them. Through our mission to provide a safe haven, we offer transitional housing that includes essential HUD housing workshops, financial management sessions, and credit counseling workshops. By focusing on work experience, we equip women with vital skills through comprehensive employment training, work-based learning with local businesses, and workshops on workplace behavior and task execution. Furthermore, our approach emphasizes independent living, teaching women affordable shopping strategies, proper grooming, and work attire implementation, and planning nutritious weekly meals. In doing so, we create a nurturing environment that not only protects women but also nurtures their children, strengthens family bonds, and fosters a community that takes responsibility for its members' well-being.
